Executive Team

Jeff Smith

The Trussway team is led by President and Chief Executive Officer, Jeffrey D. Smith. From sales to operations, Jeffrey is responsible for the organization’s performance and strategies for success. He credits Trussway’s team of knowledgeable and dedicated employees for maintaining the Company’s long-held reputation as a leader in the building industry. Prior to joining Trussway in 2013, Jeffrey held leadership positions with CertainTeed Corporation and High Industries. He earned an MBA from Southern Methodist University and undergraduate engineering degree from Stevens Institute of Technology.

John Sewall

As Vice President of Operations, John Sewall is challenged to keep all seven of Trussway’s facilities online and producing. He leads the strategy for continuous improvement, and takes pride in knowing that Trussway’s customers are receiving the best service in the industry.  Prior to joining the Company in 2014, John served in management positions for multifaceted public and private organizations where he was responsible for supplying building materials to the construction industry.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from The University of Texas at San Antonio.

David Pogue

When he joined the Trussway sales team in 1991, David Pogue built lasting client partnerships with his consultative style.  He developed a strong network of professional support in the A/E/C industry and a keen sense of residential construction markets from the viewpoint of developers, building owners, merchant builders, and contractors. Now in the role of Vice President of Sales and Marketing, David applies the same consultative style aimed to strengthen the entire Trussway team, affording others the opportunity for career growth.

John S. Morse

John S. Morse is the Director of Human Resources. John joined Trussway in the fall of 2015, and leads Trussway’s Human Resources and Safety Departments. Immediately after he started, John began to partner with Trussway’s operational leaders to ensure alignment of HR strategies with business initiatives and goals. John brings over 20 years of comprehensive human resources including talent acquisition and management, compensation, benefits, change management, employee and labor relations.  John has held leadership roles in wide variety of industries including manufacturing, energy, transportation, utility and construction. John is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and holds a bachelor’s degree in Personnel Administration from the University of Kansas.
